Student Information •Students who attend public schools in Delaware, Franklin and Union counties are eligible for application to the Zoo & Aquarium School Research Program. All students in the program must be strong in math, science and language arts, technology literate, dependable, responsible and have a keen interest in a zoo related career. Students must share a deep love and respect for wildlife. Successful students view themselves as employees, rather than students, capable of accepting the responsibility for and completion of an authentic research project. •The program is rich in zoology content, research design, statistical analysis and technology application and is designed to be career focused. All students will need: LOG (composition
notebook with graph paper) Notebook paper, pencil, pen
Student Dress General Guidelines: (Always remember that you are an ambassador for the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium.) Students are expected to dress neatly & conservatively. Shorts are appropriate but should be of the long variety. Shirts must be long enough to tuck into slacks or shorts. Zoo School (Yellow). Footwear should be comfortable & safe. The foot should be covered at all times. Hats should not be worn unless they are Columbus Zoo hats.
